Easter Holiday Workshops - April 2010

 

Tuesday 6th April - Fire & Camp Craft Day!

All the basics from finding and identifying 'good' fuel, lighting the fire, whittling with knives, to planning and building a camp - a day in the woods full of adventure!

 

Wednesday 7th April - Basher and Den Building Workshop

You will be taught various techniques on how to build a variety of shelters, using our wonderful mud, logs, sticks and leaves...can you meet the CFS Easter Challenge?

 

Thursday 8th April - Woodland Hunting Skills

A variety of basic hunting skills taught, including how to make primitive hunting tools - Bow & Arrows and spears! Also involving tracking skills, sensory awareness & wildlife observation...woodland grub for lunch!

 

Our workshops are for youngsters aged 7 to 14 years who love an outdoor adventure. The workshops run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Expect to get muddy and grubby..come prepared in clothing that will keep you dry and warm.  Workshops are £20 per child and include materials and instruction. 

 

All our CFS instuctors hold Enhanced CRB Checks and are First Aid Qualified. We recommend  that you bring healthy snacks for Elevenses and either a packed lunch or food to cook on the campfire.
