Easter Holiday Workshops - April 2010
Tuesday 6th April - Fire & Camp Craft Day! All the basics from finding and identifying 'good' fuel, lighting the fire, whittling with knives, to planning and building a camp - a day in the woods full of adventure!
Wednesday 7th April - Basher and Den Building Workshop You will be taught various techniques on how to build a variety of shelters, using our wonderful mud, logs, sticks and leaves...can you meet the CFS Easter Challenge?
Thursday 8th April - Woodland Hunting Skills A variety of basic hunting skills taught, including how to make primitive hunting tools - Bow & Arrows and spears! Also involving tracking skills, sensory awareness & wildlife observation...woodland grub for lunch!
Our workshops are for youngsters aged 7 to 14 years who love an outdoor adventure. The workshops run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Expect to get muddy and grubby..come prepared in clothing that will keep you dry and warm. Workshops are £20 per child and include materials and instruction.
All our CFS instuctors hold Enhanced CRB Checks and are First Aid Qualified. We recommend that you bring healthy snacks for Elevenes and either a packed lunch or food to cook on the campfire. Terms and Conditions for CFS Holiday Workshops Every effort is made to ensure that our holiday Workshop will run as advertised. However, Cotswold Forest School reserves the right to alter the Workshop(s) or presenter(s) without further notice. Cotswold Forest School reserves the right to cancel activities due to insufficient numbers or severe inclement weather. Registrants will be notified if this occurs and payment refunded in full. Registrations for Workshops must be accompanied by a deposit, we kindly ask that you send a 50% deposit in advance to secure a place. The remaining 50% can be paid on the morning of the Workshop. Please make payment(s) to:Cotswold Forest School and send to Cotswold Forest School PO BOX 1, Cirencester, GL7 9GD Registrants will be liable for full payment in the event of non-attendance unless a prior cancellation or transfer request is made within 48 hours. Cancellation or transfer requests must be advised by telephone and received by Cotswold Forest School at least 48 hours prior to the Workshop. Please call 077 387 08880 / 08450 941 949 Refunds will not be granted if a registrant fails to attend a Workshop(s), or cancels/transfers within 48 hours of the Workshop. Substitutions may be made at any time.
