Cotswold Forest School embraces all that is magical and engaging about outdoor education. It is a safe but challenging adventure led by qualified and experienced Forest School and Bushcraft instructors. It gives an opportunity to explore and discover the world around us and the world within and the time to do it.
Cotswold Forest School sessions are appropriate for everyone from all backgrounds and of all ages. We welcome school groups from reception upwards, charitable projects, youth groups, team builds and private bookings.
We also offer unique and bespoke visits to schools, woodlands and other venues - subject to site visits and risk assessments.
Working in small groups with a high ratio of instructors CFS raises self-esteem through progressive, achievable, linked activities, differentiating for individual learning needs. It is about being involved in learning. It’s about the freedom to run and shout and laugh and the valuable social skills we learn through positive interaction with others.
Crucially, Cotswold Forest School is about regular, long term access to nature in all seasons and all weathers. It’s about young people safely pushing boundaries, assessing risks, respecting nature and each other, learning through play and playing with ideas. It’s about emotional intelligence and skills for life that encompass the whole individual, their learning styles and talents. It’s about all the things that happen in the woods that couldn’t be experienced elsewhere.
Please note that there is no Post Code at the site and so do not use Satnav to find us. See contact details for map and how to find us.
Nut allergies
Due to the increase of young people being allergic to nuts and products containing nuts, we kindly request that parents, guardians and carers ensure that children attending holiday workshops do not bring nuts or nut based products.
Please ensure that if your child has a severe allergic reaction to nuts, we are made aware on booking, and that they bring their EPIPEN and any related medicine with them.
The Cotswold Forest School does not provide food, except for marsh mallows and pizzas on certain workshops and therefore cannot guarantee that the site will be free of nut traces.
